Then Bichagadu, Now Khaidi

Telugu movie buffs are not showing that much interest on other language films. Rajinikanth, Suriya and few others had good market value equivalent to Telugu stars until few years ago. But, now, they have lost their market in Telugu with numerous flops in recent times. Telugu audiences are encouraging films with good content, irrespective of star present in it.

After a long time, Karthi’s Kaithi released in Telugu as Khaidi is turning out as a true blockbuster among dubbed films. There were not much expectations on the film and very few theaters were allocated for it. Started off slowly with decent collections on day one, the film picked up swiftly from day two and it is posting good numbers every day.

Due to the Khaidi mania, Vijay Whistle which was off to great start has slowed down after first weekend. From past few days, Khaidi is performing far better to Whistle at box office.

Khaidi’s performance reminds us of Bichagadu days. The Vijay Anthony starrer film was released with not much buzz then. Positive word of mouth helped the film to witness unexpected growth from second week. Considering the less investment from Telugu buyer, the film stood as a massive hit.

Now, after a long time, Khaidi is enjoying great reception at the box office.
