Digital Media Gives Another Shock To Producers

Tollywood top producers Suresh Babu and Dil Raju have been expressing their opinion against digital online streaming media sites like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix for quite some time. They say due to these sites, people stopped coming to theatres.

Even as the producers from across the country are spending sleepless nights, streaming sites are said to be getting ready to give another huge shock to them. It is known that recently the streaming sites suffered a huge setback and losses when it found no takers for top stars films like Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Prabhas Saaho.

So Amazon Prime decided to implement a new business plan. Amazon and Netflix are planning to slash the rates they are currently giving to the films and are contemplating on implementing per view model. Accordingly payment will be done only as per the views the films get on their platform.

If this model is implemented then producers will face increased problems. Producers are increasing their film budgets as they are under the impression that they would get good profits through digital marketing. With this new plan, producers should have a serious rethink on their film budgets.
