Tollywood Jakkana Rajamouli created a sensation with his magnum opus Baahubali. Still everyone is in awe with the sensations Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2 created at the international level. In the meantime, many top filmmakers and stars tired to recreate the magic of Baahubali.
Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Mammootty etc. with their stardom tried to break Baahubali records. However they failed in their attempts. What is shocking all is even Young Rebel Star Prabhas who shot to fame with Bahubali, too failed to repeat the magic with his pan Indian film Saaho.
Rajinikanth's 2.0 as a pan Indian film collected around Rs600crs and entered into the list of top 10 films, but it failed overtake Baahubali. Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan was inspired by Baahubali but it left without a trace at the box office. Though the film has star cast of Amir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, it turned out to be a disaster.
Shah Rukh Khan made many experiments like Zero but is now facing survival scare. Salman Khan scored many hits, but he failed in his attempts to break Baahubali record. Chiranjeevi though showed his power with Sye Raa in Telugu States, it failed in other languages.
Mohan Lal did create experiments at Pan India level but his efforts didn't fructify at the National level. Now Mammootty's latest film Mamangam turned out to be a disaster despite getting good talk in Mollywood.
Though few hailed the film as a classic, it failed to connect chords with the masses. Even in Mollywood the film is failing to reach the breakeven as against the hype of entering into 100crs. So filmmakers who are attempting to break Baahubali records are failing to see the hidden magic in Rajamouli's story telling.
