Of late many Tollywood stars are indulging in multitasking but a look at the results shows that multi-tasking moves are turning dangerous.
Actors like Nani, Nithin, Vijay Deverakonda and Naga Shaurya turned producers and tested their luck but they failed in their adventure.
Naga Shaurya who got delighted when his first production venture Chalo turned out to be the biggest hit in 2018, came up with Nartanasala. The film turned out to be a disaster but he once again tested his luck with his recent release Aswathama. Even this film for which he penned story is turning out to be a damp squib.
Nithin who dreamed of shaking the box office by producing Akhil's debut film Akhil, got a huge shock when it turned out to be the biggest disaster.
Nani who presented D for Dopidi in 2013 turned producer with Awe. The film won the appreciation of all for its technical brilliance but failed at the box office. One has to wait and watch if his next film 'Hit' hits the bullseye at the box office.
Vijay Deverakonda too turned producer with Meeku Matrame Chepta. But the film bombed at the box office.
A trade analyst analyzing the situation says “Working on their own films and simultaneously handling the production of another film is challenging. The actors have to focus on their acting and at the same time keep a tab on their production ventures. In the process, they might miss a trick creatively and the production venture might not prove a success.”
