Jaanu's Drastic Fall on Monday

Amid lot of aspirations, Tamil blockbuster 96 was remade in Telugu as Jaanu. The film was thought to be a huge blockbuster in Telugu states as well. Contrary to the expectations, the film showed no footfalls at the box office. 

As is reported, the film minted Rs.6.61 crores in its first weekend run world wide. However, it was a drastic fall of collections on the first Monday. According to trade reports, the film collected Rs.40 lakh on Monday taking the total collections tally to Rs.7 crores. 

Now that the target is set Rs.22 crore for break even, it appears almost impossible to reach the goal. The film needs to get its losses reduce at its best. 

Jaanu was featured by Sharwanand and Samantha in lead roles. Govind Vasanth composed tunes. Prem Kumar directed the film under Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations.
