Sankranthi Stars Mahesh, Bunny Avoid Celebrations

Of late, filmmakers are conducting success meets on the very first day of their movie release, irrespective of response from critics and audience. Earlier, a movie success used to be celebrated, after it completes 50 days or 100 days. Do you remember what was the last movie that celebrated 50 days, let alone 100 days and 175 days function?

Curiously, both Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun are not showing any interest to celebrate 50 days function of their sankranthi outings Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramloo. In fact, makers of both the films stopped promotions so early.

Mahesh Babu went to USA along with family on vacation after taking part in 2 to 3 promotional events after the film’s release. Allu Arjun and team promoted the film aggressively after the release. But, they too stopped them after a point.

There were speculations that, Sarileru Neekevvaru 50 Days function will be celebrated in a grand manner and Mahesh Babu too gave his nod. But, it did not happen.

On the flip side, despite delivering an industry hit (non-Baahubali hit), AVPL team too is not keen to hold 50 days function.

Apparently, makers of both the films feel it as waste of money as both the films are now streaming on different OTT platforms.
