Power Star Pawan Kalyan is making his return to the silver screen with Vakeel Saab, a remake of Bollywood hit PINK under the direction of Venu Sriram. The film's release was delayed due to coronavirus and the subsequent lockdown.

Speaking about Pawan Kalyan, Venu Sriram said the role suits Pawan Kalyan as he believes in social justice. He added that the film is a powerful statement on the feudal mindset. It is known that Pawan is reprising the role of Big B Amitabh Bachchan in the film.

He said Pawan paid tribute to women by not having his photo on the first single 'maguva  maguva' released recently. He said it was Pawan who suggested them not to include his photo. He added that Pawan's dedication surprised all.

Revealing Pawan's dedication, Venu Sriram said that when the film's first schedule started in January, Pawan who had prior political commitments in Vijayawada, every day shuttled 600 km from Vijayawada and Hyderabad. He said Pawan did so non stop for the next 22 days. He said he has high energy and his energy levels infected the entire crew. He said the title Vakeel Saab is justified as it has a wider reach.

The film stars Anjali as Bala, Nivetha Thomas as Sanjeevani, Ananya Nagalla as Meera, Prakash raj as Advocate Surya Prakash. The film also stars Naresh and Anasuya in important roles while Shruti Haasan is playing a cameo.
