Tej Here, Vijay's Son There

Uppena that marks debut of Vaishnav Tej as hero, Krithi Shetty as heroine in Tollywood and Bichi Babu Sana as director was supposed to release on April 2nd. But, the film was pushed to unknown date due to countrywide lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak. Now, this film is going Kollywood.

Tamil Star Vijay Sethupathi who played antagonist in the film is planning to remake it in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers. Meanwhile, it is coming out that, Ilayathalapathy Vijay's son Jason Sanjay will make his debut as hero with the Tamil version which will be directed by Buchi Babu himself.

It is heard that, Vijay Sethupathi discussed the story of Uppena with Vijay on the sets of Master and the latter really liked the subject. He feels this would be an apt film to launch his son who is presently doing filmmaking course in Canada.

Uppena, loosely inspired by Nalgonda honour killing has music scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Already couple of songs from the film turned out to be chartbusters.
