Mahesh's Rejections Turned Super Hits

It is known that superstar Mahesh Babu takes a lot of care over the selection of scripts. He is choosy over the scripts and if he does not like anything, he rejects them outright.

Uday Kiran scored a hit with Manasantha Nuvve. The project first went to Mahesh Babu. But for some reason Mahesh rejected it. Uday Kiran created a sensation with the film.

Similarly, Gautam Menon's Ye Maya Chesave went to Mahesh Babu at first. But He rejected it for some reason and it became a classic for Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.

Gunasekhar requested Mahesh Babu to do the powerful Gona Gannareddy role in Anushka's Rudramadevi. Mahesh rejected it and Allu Arjun did the role and won many awards.

Surya's time story 24 directed by Vikram Kumar went to Mahesh Babu. But Mahesh rejected as he did not like to do the villain role. Nitin's A..Aa directed by Trivikram first went to Mahesh Babu. But Mahesh refused and thus missed a hit.

Similarly, Sekhar Kammula first planned to cast Mahesh Babu in Fidaa. But he rejected it and Varun Tej scored a hit. The same is the case with Ravi Teja's Idiot. Puri Jagannadh planned to do the film with Mahesh Babu. But for some reason he rejected it.

What is surprising is Mahesh Babu rejected Murugadoss's Gajini. The same is the case with Prabhas' Varsham. Sobhan who gave a flop like Bobby to Mahesh narrated Varsham story to Mahesh. But Mahesh couldn't do it as he was busy with Nani, Arjun and Athadu films then. Mahesh rejected Nani's Gang Leader also.
