Top Actress Not Interested In Films

Nayanthara with her red hot looks and hard work became the top heroine in the south. She recently starred in megastar Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and superstar Rajinikanth's Darbar. She is once again romancing Rajinikanth in Annathe under the direction of Shiva.

Nayanthara speaking to scribes made a startling revelation about her entry into films. She said, "It is true. I do not like films. I was not interested in acting in films at all. I used to do modeling during my college days. I got an offer in a Malayalam film in 2003. I rejected the offer at first. However, with the makers convincing me, I planned to do only that film. But I got a good appreciation for my performance and the film did well at the box office.

I signed around 8 films that year. From then on I am doing films continuously. In between, I stayed away from films due to personal problems but not due to a lack of offers. I did different roles in my journey in the film industry".

Nayanthara who is rumoured to be in live-in relationship with Vignesh Shivan is of late doing mostly female centric films. She is also starring in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal under Vignesh Shivan's direction.
