Mohan Babu Scared Rao Over Votes Counting

Kota Srinivasa Rao contested the general elections from Vijayawada East, Andhra Pradesh in 1999 for the BJP under the leadership of Atal Behari Vajpayee. Before the countdown of votes, when Kota Srinivasa Rao was going to the polling booth, Collection King Mohan Babu scared him.

During that time Kota Srinivasa Rao was shooting for Mohan Babu's film Postman. When Kota did not come to the shooting spot, Mohan Babu told that he should come to the sets even if his scenes were not there.

Kota told, “Elagandi, meeku telusu kada, nenu poti chesanu, akkada counting undandi”.

Mohan Babu made fun of him saying, “nuvvendukayya akkadiki.. nuvvem gelustavayya.. nuvvu nilchovadama tappu. ippudu poyi nuvventi akkada chesedi'. This scared Kota a lot. Kota thought of dropping his plans.

The next day, Kota told Mohan Babu that he would like to go. Then he told 'Sare  po. nee kharma'. When Kota went to the polling station, the media started asking him various questions. He told them that he would win at least by one vote. Kota finally won by 4000 votes majority.

When he returned back to Hyderabad and Mohan Babu heard that Kota is coming to Postman sets, he told unit members that they should give him a grand reception.

Mohan Babu told him, “Mottaniki gelichavayya. nuvvu, bhale chota gelichavu. bhale bhale. mottam Congress seat adi. Swatantryam vachina tarvata first time congress yetara party MLA ga gelavadam.”
