AP Govt G.O. on EM Again, Yellow Media Silent

The AP government has determined to convert schools of all managements into English Medium, either by hook or crook. Having considered various appeals to continue Telugu medium, the high court made the G.Os 81 and 85, which were brought to convert Telugu medium to English Medium, null and avoid. 

The AP government, however, didn't step back with the high court's verdict. Instead, it conducted a survey among parents through village volunteers to know the choice of medium preferred by them. Giving the government's plan a booster shot, more than 97% parents opted for English Medium. 

Accordingly, the government sought the guidelines from AP SCERT about the media of instruction in schools. The SCERT, on war-footing, submitted a 58-page report to the government the other day. Within no time, the government released the G.O. No.24 dated 13th of May, 2020, which directs to convert schools into English Medium. However, schools running with other media such as Tamil, Urdu, Kannada and Oriya will be continued while a Telugu medium school each per every mandal will be introduced for those 3% parents who opted TM for their children's education. Howbeit, the final decision is subject as per the supreme court's ruling. 

When the government would take such moves for the launch of EM previously, the TDP and the yellow media would indulge in lot of hue and cry with the government's decision. But then, all of them stayed dumb with the aggressive step of the government now. But why? 

There's just a single reason which made them stayed silent. Reportedly, all these anti groups became dumbstruck with more than 97% parents opting for EM schools. They are in no mood to go against the wish of maximum number of parents. They have made out it'd be a suicidal move arguing against EM schools.
