They're Unable To Raise Voice Against Influential Producers

Various sectors are experiencing the aftershocks of coronavirus. The film industry is witnessing numerous changes and with the OTT becoming the alternate option to theatres for the film releases, multiplexes and single theatres are facing an existential crisis.

Already few producers are tilting towards OTT releases. Bollywood stars are already releasing a few of their upcoming entertainers on OTT. Under these circumstances, the multiplexes chain became united and expressed their anger over the stars and producers. They said that such actions from the filmmakers is undesirable and unwanted and it will have an adverse effect on the entire industry.

While multiplexes owners across the country are on one word, single-screen owners are now showing that unity. Especially down south, single-screen owners are not standing united. Since most of the exhibitors gave their theatres to the influential producers, they are unable to raise their voices against the actions of the producers.

There is no denying the fact that revenue for the theatres will go down drastically due to OTT releases. Exhibitors and theatres management should come together and arrive at a solution rather than turning a blind eye.
