The last few years, Tollywood expanded its wings across the world. The craze for Telugu films increased and this expanded the market of the Telugu stars.
With business blossoming, stars remuneration increased astronomically. Producers also did not pay much attention as they are overjoyed with the projects getting pan India craze. However, coronavirus brought the entire world crashing and it is the same with Tollywood.
Finally, Tollywood is breathing easy as permissions for shooting have been given. Producers are making their preparations and sources say there will be a key change regarding stars and technicians remunerations.
Already many producers gave advances to few stars. Inside talk is now they will not pay advances or balance amounts to the stars. Producers Council is planning to come up with a rule that they would pay remuneration to stars only after the film does business.
They are planning to come up with a rule to ban the stars if they oppose the new rule. Producers Council says the new rule is applicable not only to stars but also to the technicians.
However, this is for stars who take high remuneration. Stars and technicians who get less than Rs 25000 per day are exempted. This rule will continue until the industry see good old days again.
