Colonel Santosh Babu & 2 Jawans Die in Combat with China

In a lamentable update, colonel Santosh Babu from Telangana and two more soldiers Havildar Palani from Tamil Nadu and Sepoy Ojha from Jharkhand lost their lives in a face-off with the China's army at the Galvon Valley, Lodakh on Monday night. 

The Indian army, however, made it clear that the colonel and the two Jawans were not shot dead but were killed in a scuffle with the Chinese troops. The incident took place when Indian and Chinese troops were moving away as per the agreement. 

Initially, the Chinese troops pelted stones on the Indian army. Swerving not, Indian troops retaliated which resulted in a severe face-off between both the troops. A big number of casualties were recorded from Chinese troops. Chinese army disclosed that 5 of their soldiers lost their lives. 

This clash between Indo-China troops is next only after Indo-Chinese clash in 1975. 

Colonel Santosh Babu is learnt to have had his schooling at Korukonda High School. He had been serving for the country as a soldier and an officer for the past 15 years. Knowing the demise of her only son, Santosh Babu's mother grieved bitterly but then expressed her pride for her son who lost his life for the sake of his country. 

Entire nation salutes Santosh Babu and two other Jawans. Their bravery stands as an inspiration to the youth of India.
