Corona Removed Sting Out Of Tollywood

2020 started off on a sensational note in Tollywood with Superstar Mahesh Babu and Stylish Star Allu Arjun powering the box office with Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramloo during Sankranthi.

Rajinikanth attracted with Darbar and Kalyan Ram tried his luck with Entha Manchi Vadavura. Ravi Teja came up with Disco Raja and Naga Shaurya as Ashwathama. But both failed to make it big at the box office. Though Kannada dubbed Athade Srimannarayana came up with a different story it failed to appeal to viewers.

After Sankranthi, none of the films attracted movie lovers, and even Jaanu, Vijay Deverakonda's World Famous Lover failed to attract viewers. However, Nithin entertained with Bheeshma. Films like Savari, Degree College, Pressure Cooker and HIT attracted with good promos. But only HIT live up to the expectations.

Dulqer Salman' Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante though looked good, but failed to become a commercial hit due to lack of promotions. Palasa 1978 impressed as a good attempt and O Pitta Katha failed miserably.

Later Corona entered and took the sting out of Tollywood.
