Dil Raju's big gamble with 'V' film worked wonders for the producer. In fact, 'V' has been torn apart unanimously by all the critics. The film might have bitten the dust had it been released in theatres. But then, OTT release appeared to have become a saving grace for the makers and a few others who invested on the project through various platforms.
It's learnt that Dil Raju pocketed Rs.10 crore from 'V'. The film fetched Rs.31 crore for OTT (Amazon Prime) rights, Rs.7 crore for Hindi dubbing rights and Rs.8 crore for satellite rights (Gemini TV). Altogether, the film minted Rs.46 crores.
If the film's production cost Rs.33 crore and interests Rs.3 crore are subtracted, Dil Raju's gets a net profit Rs.10 crore which is a fantabulous deal for the lucky producer.
V has two crucial roles played by Natural Star Nani and Sudher babu. Indraganti Mohan Krishna is the director.
