Politically motivated Bharat Bandh of some farmers has received mixed responses from the people.

On 27 September, 2020, the president of India, Ramnadh Kovind gave his assent to the BJP's new farm bill act 2020, which was cleared by both the houses before. As a matter of fact, the new farm bill paves way for the farmer to sell his produce anywhere in India and abroad in such a way he would never face a crisis in selling his produce.

As of now, the farmers had to pay market cess at market yards to sell their produce. Hereafter, they need not pay any cess in market yards. Further, they can store as much as their produce in godowns until they get an affordable price to their produce.

Although, the new farm act assures innumerable benefits to the farmers, some political parties like the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and a few opposition parties are opposing the new farm act brought out by the BJP.

Incidentally, only a few farmers who are being ruled by the opposition parties of the BJP have called for Bharat Bandh on Tuesday.

Like 'Paanakam Lo Pudakalu', TRS of Telangana state and the YSRCP from the AP also extended their solidarity on the farmers Bharat Bandh. According to political analysts, Telangana CM KCR developed hatred and jealousy on the BJP ever since the latter registered remarkable victories in Dubbaka and GHMC.

Strangely, the YSRCP who supported the farm act in the parliament, supported the bandh against the BJP. Political analysts felt the CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy acted as if he were the leader without ethics.
