Direction supervision is not a new term for Tollywood. Usually, new and upcoming filmmakers take help of senior and successful directors while canning crucial sequences of films. K Raghavendra Rao supervised direction of Pallakilo Pellikuthuru that was directed by debutante Suchitra Chandrabose.

Few years ago, director Maruthi made a film Prema Katha Chitram with Sudheer Babu playing the lead. Although it was initially announced cinematographer J Prabhakara Reddy was the director, after the movie became a super hit Maruthi claimed that he had directed it.

Recently, successful director Anil Ravipudi announced that he is supervising direction of an upcoming film Gaali Sampath starring Sree Vishnu and Rajendra Prasad. Aneesh Krishna is directing the film. A video released by the team showed Anil giving his inputs to Aneesh. Few opined that, Anil Ravipudi shouldn’t have disclosed this news to public, as it would damage the stature of Aneesh Krishna who already directed couple of films and made his mark.

Even if Anil Ravipudi was supervising the making of the film, he would have just made a statement saying he gave some suggestions like he did for recent ani muthyam Alludu Adhurs.

Now, the makers of Pawan Kalyan and Rana starrer film came up with a making video- Power Storm. The major attraction of the video was the lengthy conversation between Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram. In fact, director Sagar K Chandra is given less scope. Even though Sithara Entertainments gave enough scope for Trivikram out of love and business equations with the director, Trivikram as a well-respected person should have cautioned them.

Those who have watched the video are slamming Trivikram for the gesture. It even gave an impression that he will be taking care of everything related to the film, until he begins his film with NTR.

It will be an encouraging for a young director like Sagar, if Trivikram given his inputs. But, it will be an embarrassing for him, if Trivikram dominates him.

This is not fair from gurujis Anil Ravipudi and Trivikram who should have acted just like mentors and should have given complete freedom to the young directors!
