Tharun Bhascker’s film, the best

One of the most impressive aspects of the Telugu filmmakers from this generation is the camaraderie they share. Though there’s immense competition between them, they haven’t taken the professional rivalry to their heart. While Rajamouli and Sukumar have had a mutual admiration for each other over the years, the likes of Anil Ravipudi, Vamsi Paidipally, Harish Shankar, Nandini Reddy, Tharun Bhascker, Nag Ashwin and Vivek Athreya are so easy-going with one another ensuring a healthy atmosphere in the industry.

It’s a well-known fact that directors Sankalp Reddy, Nag Ashwin, Tharun Bhascker and Nandini Reddy are coming together for Netflix’s first Telugu original, slated to release on February 19. All the four filmmakers haven’t got an opportunity to showcase the dark side to relationships in their films and it’ll certainly be interesting to see how they’ve dealt with it in the web space. In a recent conversation, Nag Ashwin has talked about his favourite short of the four films in Pitta Kathalu.

“I liked Tharun Bhascker’s short the most of all in Pitta Kathalu. It’s a league above the other films and taps into an unexplored side to his filmmaking repertoire. The audiences are sure to be blown away,” Nag Ashwin’s believed to have told to his acquaintances some time ago. One can’t wait to see if this is proved true on February 19. Sandeep Reddy Vanga too was initially roped in to be a part of the Netflix original, however, he’d opted out for reasons best known to him.
