After the likes of Asin, Nayanthara, Nithya Menen, Anupama Parameswaran and Namitha Pramod, another Malayali actress is all set to test waters in Telugu cinema. Trivandrum-born girl Aishwarya Lekshmi, who’s starred in several acclaimed Malayalam and Tamil films including Maayanadhi, Varathan, Brother’s Day, Vishal-starrer Action and even Jagame Thanthiram opposite Dhanush, will make her Telugu debut alongside Sathyadev in Godse.

Directed by Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi and produced by C Kalyan, Godse commenced its shoot at Aluminium Factory in Hyderabad earlier today. “I’m happy to be making my Telugu debut. I wish I could say a lot about my character but my director has strictly asked me to not reveal anything now. I hope Telugu cinema audiences encourage me. I’ve heard a lot about Sathyadev and his films including Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya, Jyothi Lakshmi and was watching them on my way to the shoot,” she added.

She also reprised the role of Ritu Verma in the Malayalam remake of Pelli Choopulu titled Vijay Superum Pournamiyum. Godse, meanwhile, is Sathyadev’s second collaboration with Gopi Ganesh after Bluff Master. It’ll be interesting to see how this combo fares at the box office.
