Vaishnav Tej’s debut flick Uppena is breaking many box office records and it is already the biggest grosser for a debut hero beating previous best of Ram Charan’s Chirutha. The film directed by Buchi Babu Sana is set to cross 50 Cr share mark very soon. The team celebrated success meet in Rajahmundry and Ram Charan lauded his cousin Vaishnav Tej.
Director Buchi Babu Sana revealed that, he first approached Ram Charan with a proposal of making Uppena with Vaishnav Tej and Charan encouraged him for the beginning. The director extended his gratitude for megastar Chiranjeevi for accepting the chocking climax which is accepted by audiences as well.
Krithi Shetty revealed that she is a big fan of Ram Charan and she expressed her happiness for working with the team. She said Vaishnav Tej was very supportive adding producers of Mythri Movie Makers treated her like their daughter.
Vaishnav Tej stated how director Buchi Babu Sana insisted on him to do the film. He thanked Ram Charan for gracing the event. Vaishnav complemented music director Devi Sri Prasad for providing him blockbuster music for his first film.
It was Ram Charan who stole the show with his speech. “While filmmakers in other states were not completely ready to release films, Telugu audience made Uppena a blockbuster. Vaishnav Tej is fortunate to have DSP as music director for his film. The boat song was my favorite in the film.
Bebamma (Krithi Shetty) acted differently. She won the hearts of all. I didn’t see such a grand reception for a debut heroine. She will soon become a busiest actress. Even, Mythri Movie Makers may find it difficult to get her dates.”
Charan made interesting comments on Vaishnav Tej. “Vaishnav Tej looks very innocent, but he is not that innocent and there’s a volcano within him. He’s more balanced than me and Tej and he’s very matured. We knew that he will become successful.
It took 8 years for me to get a film like Rangasthalam to prove my acting skills. But, Vaishnav Tej proved his mettle with his very first film. My dad Chiranjeevui and uncle Pawan Kalyan were very supportive. Dad listened to the script four times and watched the film two days prior to the release. It was Pawan Kalyan babai who sent Vaishnav to foreign countries to learn acting.”
Charan then informed that he was shooting for Acharya in Maredumilli.
