Chiru Locked This Actor For Hours

Megastar Chiranjeevi is known for his punctuality and he used to be in the sets half an hour before the schedule. One needn't mention what would happen when an actor keeps him waiting for hours. The incident happened during the shoot for his film Jai Chiranjeeva directed by Vijay Bhaskar in 2005.

Sameer played the role of Chiranjeevi's brother in law in the film and the makers planned to shoot the scene where baddies shoot down his daughter in a park. All the actors along with Chiranjeevi got ready and they were waiting for Sameer. But there was no sign of him.

Chiranjeevi's manager tried reaching Sameer but he was not lifting his call. No one was aware of what's wrong with Sameer. Finally after two hours Sameer came to the shooting spot and all looked at him with the expression that 'Chiru will finish you', manager also remarked, "Annaya is waiting for you since two hours". Sameer was damn scared and entered Chiranjeevi's Caravan. The moment he entered, Caravan got locked and no one could guess what was happening.

Sameer got relieved when Chiranjeevi questioned, "Your name is Sameer and you wore Ayyappa mala. How is it possible?" Sameer got delayed as he had to wear Ayyappa mala on that day and though he informed the same to the director, the message didn't reach Chiranjeevi due to communication gap.

Sameer told Chiranjeevi that his mother was a Brahmin and father was a North Indian and so he was named Sameer who says he couldn't forget the moments he spent time with Chiranjeevi in his Caravan.
