Samantha a Wrong Choice for Shaakuntalam?

Gunasekhar is said to be one of the most talented technical directors of Tollywood. It's a visual treat watching the sky high budgeted artistic sets in his films. Having taken a prolonged gap of six years post the release of his previous offing Rudhramadevi, Gunasekhar launched his new project, a historical flick Shaakuntalam. 

Top heroine Samantha has been roped in to reprise the main character Shakuntala in the film. But then, some movie buffs viewed Samantha's selection for Shakuntala's role would be a wrong choice of Gunasekhar. 

According to them, Shakuntala should romance her love interest Dushyantha to the extreme. Shaakuntalam could be an epic love story if the romance is given prime importance in the story skipping the lag in the tragic part when Dushyanta gets separated from her. Above all, Shakuntala should be seen in revealing outfits for which a glamorous heroine is needed rather a performer. However, how can a married Samantha fit the bill to her role?
