Pic Talk: Roja Jodi Back With Thalaivi

Arvind Swami and Madhubala charmed with their chemistry in super hit 1992 film Roja that was directed by Mani Ratnam. After nearly 30 years, the duo has worked together for the upcoming Thalaivi which is the biopic of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The film’s trailer was released yesterday and it got tremendous response.

Thalaivi trailer showed Arvind Swami and Madhubala as MGR and his wife VN Janaki Ramachandran respectively. Here in the still from the trailer, Arvind Swami and Madhubala having lunch together. They bore close resemblance to MGR and VN Janaki respectively. Moreover, it’s good to see them together after ages.

Starring Kangana Ranuat in the title role, Thalaivi is directed by AL Vijay, while Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Shailesh R Singh and Tirumal Reddy jointly bankrolled it. Thalaivi is scheduled for release on 23rd of April.
