The ghastly coronavirus pandemic has taken the world by storm with a sudden surge of cases from pole to pole. The new mutants of the virus are said to be more dangerous in the second wave and show their proximity with new symptoms apart from symptoms that existed before.
Now that around 7000 cases daily are recorded, the AP government, inevitably, has taken crucial measures to contain the dreaded virus. The government has resolved to cancel classes 1to 9 from primary to secondary school level and the decision will come into force from 20th of April.
The AP SSC and the Intermediate examinations, however, will be held as per the schedule released before.
Says the education minister Adimulapu Suresh to the scribes, "Students couldn't join the military owing to the cancellation of the SSC examinations, last year. Hence, we have reckoned the students not to lose the academic year."
"The sanitization of examinations centres, nevertheless, is strictly recommended in addition to all other restrictions of Covid-19," the minister added.
