Vaccine connection to the box office

Coronavirus in its first wave left the entertainment industry in a state of confusion. Many expected it to disappear after a month or so but it stayed back for more than six months. When it subsided, people flouted all the norms in the name of freedom and resulted in a dangerous second wave. 

 This affected the film industry as of April and May releases got postponed and doubts are increasing on June releases. Many are expecting the virus to subside by June second week. However, this time fatality rate increased. 

Tollywood is monitoring the situation closely. Already Love Story, Tuck Jagadeesh, Virataparvam, Thalaivi and Paagal got postponed and Acharya got postponed to August. Filmmakers will think of releases only if they get clarity b June. Estimation is that the current situation will prevail till June end and by that time the second dose of vaccination Will be mostly completed. So Tollywood's box office future is completely dependent on covid vaccination.
