The digital revolution and the advent of OTTs brought drastic changes in the film industry. The outbreak of coronavirus and the subsequent lockdown which resulted in the shutting down of theatres increased the demand for OTTs.

Allu Aravind picked up the OTT revolution even before the outbreak of coronavirus and came with his Aha OTT. The same is the case with Ram Gopal Varma who launched his own OTT Spark. Reports have that many other Tollywood biggies are planning to start their own OTTs in Telugu to delight movie lovers.

However, none of the existing Telugu OTTs managed to make an impression in the market except AHa OTT to some extent. In the midst of all this, rumors are spreading the media baron Ramoji Rao is daring to take on the OTT bull by its horns. Ramoji Rao who owns the ETV channel network across the country and has various businesses, according to sources is planning to start his own OTT channel.

Inside talk is ETV network already has the digital rights of all the old Telugu films. Ramoji Rao produced many classic films on Ushakiron Movies banner. He is now planning to mix everything in ETV OTT. Inside talk is he is planning to start film programs spending a whopping Rs 200crs. It has to be seen how successful Ramoji Rao in conquering the OTT market.
