Did Rajamouli miss directing Salman Khan?

Vijayendra Prasad, father of Rajamouli is popular for providing powerful stories for blockbuster films. He penned stories for Rajamouli's Baahubali and Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. A few days back Vijayendra Prasad spoke about the sequel for Bajrangi  Bhaijaan and added that Salman Khan was excited when he spoke about the sequel for the film.

In the midst of all this, Vijayendra Prasad revealed a shocker about Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He said during the Baahubali shoot, he narrated the Bajrangi Bhaijaan story to Rajamouli and he loved it completely. He said however Rajamouli refused to direct the film when he asked him whether he would direct.

He said thus Kabir Khan directed Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan which turned out to be a blockbuster. Vijayendra Prasad said Rajamouli rued for not directing Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Vijayendra Prasad added that it was his fault for not choosing the right time to ask Rajamouli about directing Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

He said Rajamouli was shooting high-octane war scenes of Baahubali under the scorching sun when he asked him whether he would direct Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He added that Rajamouli was not in the best of moods when he asked that question and said the entire fault lies with him. Movie lovers felt that because of Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli's Bollywood entry did not happen. Imagine what would have been had Rajamouli directed Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan?
