The Annual General Body Meeting of Movie Artistes Association (MAA) took place yesterday in a virtual manner. Founder Member and Disciplinary Committee President Krishnam Raju headed the meeting.

Sparks flew with senior members who spoke and questioned about various developments. What shocked all is Mohan Babu entered the scene and questioned how MAA sold a building acquired for a cheap price at loss. He said he was saddened at that decision. It is known that MAA acquired a building spending a whopping sum but was later sold for a cheap price under Naga Babu's tenure.

During the meeting, while Krihsnnam Raju and Murali Mohan told the members that they will give clarity over MAA elections in a week. But all the members felt that within 21 days of the AGM, elections should be held and that brings the dates September 12 or 19 into consideration. Some proposed September 13 and 26th. Even the current President Naresh also felt that it is better to conduct the elections as soon as possible. MAA will soon request the Telangana Government permission to conduct elections following covid protocols. If not September, MAA elections are imminent in October.
