Minister's meet with Tollywood biggies: who gained the upper hand

The much-publicized meeting between AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and Mega Star Chiranjeevi did not happen. Even the meet between Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Minister Perni Nani did not happen.

However, Tollywood producers and distributors met Minister Nani and they had discussed various issues. The Tollywood delegation made it clear that they don't have any problem with AP Government's online ticketing portal.

But they requested variable prices ranging from Rs 50-Rs250 depending on the film for which Nani promised to take this matter to the concerned authorities.

When the Minister confronted on less revenue to the government despite films collecting Rs 200-Rs500crs, a producer said that they do that to make people to throng theatres feeling they may miss a big hit. It is coming out that a theatre owner virtually broke down due to lack of occupancy and they requested the minister to allow 100% occupancy.

Inside talk is already the government is gearing up for the online ticketing portal. Speculation is on as to who gained upper hand in the meeting.
