83 trailer highlights Team India's glory

Ranveer Singh's sports-based entertainer 83 is racing for a grand release on December 24. The makers are promoting the film in a big manner as it is a film based on the Indian cricket team's road to victory in the 1983 Prudential world cup as the underdogs defeating the Mighty West Indies.

The trailer showed Ranveer Singh as Team India captain Kapil Dev saving India from the brink of exit after two crushing defeats against West Indies and Australia and then tottering at 19/5 against Zimbabwe. Deepika Padukone is seen as Kapil Dev's wife Romi Bhatia in the film directed by Kabir Khan. Parvati Nair is playing the role of Sunil Gavaskar's wife.

The film stars Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Dhairya Karwa as Ravi Shastri, Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, Sahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil, Adinath Kothare as Dilip Vengsarkar, Dinker Sharma as Kirti Azad, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Nishant Dahiya as Roger Binny and R Badree as Sunil Valson.

Pankaj Tripathi plays PR Man Singh, the team’s manager.Kabir Khan, Vishnuvardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone, and Sajid Nadiadwala are producing the film in a grand manner.
