Dear AP CS! Why Extravagance? Why Peda Arupulu?

In the wake of huge agitation triggered by the AP employees against the 'Reverse PRC', the AP CS Sameer Sharma convened a press meet on Wednesday. He said AP's revenue plummated to 62K crores. "Had there been no covid, the total revenue could have been shot up to Rs.98K crores," the CS observed.

"We expended Rs.17000 crore towards IR of the employees. The employees need not worry about their salaries. If they check their January month's payslips, they can witness the hike in their salaries," the CS added.

However, the employees got furious over the CS's defence of the 'Reverse PRC'. They are all set to issue the strike notice to the CS on Friday. Meanwhile, the employees said the government turned highly extravagant and is now crying with 'Peda Arupulu' (poor chatters). They are citing following examples of how the government turned spendthrift into spending the money unnecessarily.

* Hundreds of advisors (of them, mostly Reddys) have been appointed unnecessarily. The government has spent crores for their pay and vehicle allowances.

* Around 2.5 lakh 'Village Volunteers' are working as the YSRCP workers. The government cut off the salaries of the employees and is paying salaries for these YCP workers.

* Around 1.20 village and ward secretariat posts have been created. They do not have an authentic job chart. A part of the employees salaries (around 336 crores) is spent for their salaries.

* Free money to the pastors, auto drivers, Kapus, mothers of Amma Vodi scheme, fee reimbursement to most of the ineligible students  and too many pensions is merely useless.
