Now that the indications are coming from various quarters that Ap government headed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy will revise the ticket rates in theatres across the state, announcing it officially after the Tollywood delegation's meeting with CM Jagan at 12 PM following the lunch with them at 11 AM, speculation is on the new ticket rates in the theatres.
The new ticket rates according to sources are expected to be as follows and these will be announced after the government shows that intended GO draft to the Tollywood celebrities. Currently, the minum ticket rates for non AC is Rs 5 and this will be increased to Rs 30 across the state. Similarly, the maximum ticket rates for non AC will be hiked to Rs 70 from the current Rs 15.
Multiplexes rates will be Rs 250 across the state. For AC theatres, the minimum ticket rates will be increased to Rs. 40 and maximum Rs. 150. Earlier, Rs. 10 was the minimum and Rs. 20 was the maximum for theatres in gram panchayats, Rs. 15 was the minimum, and Rs. 35 the maximum in Nagar panchayats, Rs. 40 the minimum and Rs. 100 the maximum in municipalities.
