New trend: Tollywood's female chief guests

South film industry and especially Tollywood is known to set trends capturing the imagination of all. It is known that Tollywood started celebrating the films pre-release events in style and then come up with the success meets etc. Now that Tollywood is showing its power across the country, it caught the imagination of all when the RRR pre-release event was organized in an extravagant manner in Bollywood leaving all awestruck.

It is known that Tollywood started the trend of the trailer launch, song launch, first look launch online during the covid pandemic. Now the new trend of inviting female actors as the chief guests are becoming the talking point. Recently Keerthy Suresh and Sai Pallavi graced the pre-release event of Sharwanand, Rashmika Mandanna's Adavaallu Meeku Johaarlu. Director Kishore Thirumala said since Keerthy Suresh and Sai Pallavi are setting an example on and off the screen, he decided to invite them as the chief guests.

Swapna Dutt, producer of Prabhas' Project K says women are playing an important role in powering the film and adds it is a welcome trend. A long time back Pooja Hegde was invited as the chief guest for Naga Shourya's Varudu Vaavalenu. Pooja says she was pleasantly surprised at that time when the makers invited her. Neelima Guna, producer of Samantha's Shakuntalam says it is a welcome move and feels happy that Tollywood is setting a new trend.

In 2016, Samantha released the teaser of Adivi Sesh's Kshanam and Evaru. During that time Adivi Sesh claimed that Samantha is his lucky charm.
