Is this why Dhamki backed off

The story behind Dhamki's backtrack is much talked about. People are questioning whether Dhamki backed off due to this reason. It is known that the masses waited eagerly for Mass Ka Das Vishwak Sen's Dhamki which was supposed to release on 17 February. However, Vishwak Sen who is directing the film sprang a surprise announcing the indefinite postponement of the film's release. All his fans got disappointed as Vishwak Sen planned to film on pan India scale.

The makers cited technical difficulties but the real reason is something else according to insiders. Dhamki has similarities to Mass Raja Raviteja's Dhamaka. Though Dhamaka had a routine story and elements, Raviteja's performance and Sree Leela's glamor turned it into a blockbuster. Dhamaka and Dhamki have a similar storyline of a middle-class youngster entering the place of a rich billionaire and solving the problems. However, in Dhamaka Raviteja plays only one role, and only during the interval do viewers come to know about it till then everyone thinks that he was playing a dual role.

With Dhamki having a similar storyline, and the film releasing within two months of Dhamaka's release, the makers feel that movie lovers fresh with Dhamaka's plot may reject the routine Dhamki. So they decided to delay the film's release for quite some time so that they forget the Dhamaka impact and enjoy the Dhamki effect.
