Is Balagam Inspired From Rajendra Prasad Film?

Balagam is the talk of the town now. Comedy actor Venu Yeldandi has sprung a surprise as a director and the way he made Balagam is being highly appreciated. The film has already earned profits and moving ahead to become a superhit. Top producer Dil Raju backing the film helped a lot in gaining the attention of audience. 

Balagam faced plagiarism allegations that a journalist has claimed that the story belongs to him to which director Venu confirmed that it is original story and no such thing as pliagiarism has occurred. 

But, the plot and main theme of Balagam is close Rajendra Prasad and Vennela Kishore starrer 2019 film Tholubommalata. It also delas with the death of an elderly man and the issues rise in his family after his death. It deals with how he solves them as a spirit with the help of Vennela Kishore before his 13th day ceremony affirming the values of human relations. 

Balagam too has similar plot. But, it is more rooted to Telangana nativity and culture. Balagam is more emotional and natural. Anyhow it's not new films resemble previous films in their core themes. But, how effectively they were made and connected with the audience is actually that counts. Balagam succeeded in this aspect.
