Stars fascination with period films

Tollywood stars seems to be turning the clock back. They are fascinated by period films and time machine concepts. Many films right from RRR, KGF, Pushpa,Ponniyin Selvan, Kantara, Bimbisara, Shyam Singha Roy,Dasara,Oke Oka Jeevitham, SIR, Seetharamam and Major, many of them turned out to be hits while few missed the target.

Pawan Kalyan is currently starring in his first-period film Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The film has a moghul backdrop directed by Krish.Ram Charan's next with Buchchi Babu Sana is also a period film. The same is the case with Kalyan Ram's Devil which has a British backdrop.

Prabhas' Project K is a sci-fi thriller based on a time machine concept. Balakrishna-Anil Ravipudi's project and even Nagarjuna is planning to touch the period concept. Virinchi Varma and Krishna Chaitanya are also coming up with period entertainers.

The makers and stars are getting fascinated by this genre as they are confident of taking viewers to another world and giving them a thrilling ride.
