PS 2 Crossed RS 250 Crore Mark By The End Of Its First Week Run

The second and final part of Maniratnam's Magnum Opus, Ponniyin Selvan 2 hit the screens on April 28 and recieved positive reviews. But, the film is trending behind its prequel at this stage. PS 2 is raking good numbers but not extrodinary figures like most of trade anticipated. 

Though many Tamil Nadu audience were disappointed that the film is different from their most beloved book Ponniyin Selvan written by Kalki Krishna Murthy. The film has been lapped up by the audience for its intense and engaging drama. 

The film has collected RS 265 Crores worldwide by the end of its first week. PS 2 has crossed RS 100 crore mark in Tamil Nadu and RS 140 Crore in India including all languages. The overseas collection is helping the film to record big numbers. The film is trending at top place in USA, UK, Australia, and Gulf countries. 

The second week collections are crucial as they will decide that the PS2 can cross Ps1's RS 500 Crore Mark or not. Ponniyin Selvan features Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Sarathkumar, Prabhu and other ensemble cast.
