Ayodhya Babri Masjid Verdict Suspense Continue

The Judgment day for age old Ayodhya - Babri Masjid Case was inching closer as a suspense thriller for both Government and Indian people in the wake of verdict disposal which was to happen tomorrow. Yet, one more hurdle in its way. Yes, Supreme Court today ordered the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court to delay its verdict on this controversial religious site by one more week that is till they end up with hearing on a petition on September 28.

This private petition was submitted by a retired bureaucrat Ramesh Chand Tripathi to the Supreme Court in which he asked verdict to be postponed as it could lead to communal violence. Central Home Minister Chidambaram and Home Ministers of respective States have made their Police Forces to stand on tight rope in context of this verdict which could mention about the ownership of religious controversial land. Now, tensions are flewn away till 28th of the month.

A major report mentions that, real reason behind postponement of the verdict is that one of the judges in the Allahabad High Court is scheduled to retire on October 1 which could potentially mean that the verdict is put off much further.

So, here seems to be that Indian Judiciary is following the Postponement and Extension formula as what Indian Parliament normally does.
