Rs 10 lakh ex gratia for chopper victims

Hyderabad, Sept 5 :

 The Andhra Pradesh Government on Saturday announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of special secretary P Subramaniam, chief security officer A S C Wesley, chopper piloted by Group Capt S K Bhatia and Capt M S Reddy, who were killed when the Bell-430 helicopter they were travelling in with Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy crashed at Nallamalla forest in Kurnool district on Wednesday.

Talking to the media persons on Saturday, the care taker Chief Minister K Rosaiah said that the government would extend all support and benefits to victims of chopper crash.The government would also provide employment to kin of family members based on compensatory grounds.

He expressed shock and grief over the death of 145 people on hearing the news of their leader's death over television, others committed suicide, unable to bear the loss.
