IPS officers blame their own association

HYDERABAD, Sept 19 :

  The GO issued on Thursday by the Government brought cheers to the  constables while on the other hand the  same GO brought  irritation on the  faces of the  Ips officers in the city. With  frustration writ  large on their faces  the Ips officers are holding the  AP Ips Officers  Association (APIOA) and the top brass  of their  department responsible for  failing to impress upon the Government  in withholding the GO.

Fearing  backlash  from the  authorities for  opening up  against the GO, most of the  officers  were of the opinion that they should  have  taken them into consideration before promulgating  such an order.

One of the officers  who doesn’t like  to go on record said `` we work  round  the  clock  while others walk into the  office  by 10 a.m and walk out  by 5.30 p.m in the  evening. So the Government  should have  considered  these  points  before  passing  the  GO.’’

Some of the  officers feel  that  the Government  is  showing  discrimination.  Drawing the  stark differences between the people  working in an IAS officer’s  house  and an  Ips officer’s house  they said the  same  work is  done by the government  employees.
