Rs 85 lakh assets seized in ACB raid

Anakapalle, Sept 23 :

 The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (Acb) on Wednesday conducted a raid on the office and residence of Anakapalle Rural Electrification Project Managing Director Appa Rao and unearthed assets with a market value of over Rs 85 lakhs.

The simultaneous raid on the office at Anakapalle and home of Appa Rao began in morning hours. In the searches that continued till afternoon, the Acb sleuths unearthed Rs 85 lakh worth assets.His riches included two houses, a flat in Visakhapatnam, furniture in the house, jewellery and bank balance. A disproportionate assets case was registered against Appa Rao.
