Yet another train looted

Chirala, Sept 26:

Cocking a snook at the Government Railway Police, eunuchs robbed the passengers of the Earnakulam-Ghorakpur Rapthisagar Express in the wee hours of Saturday. The eunuchs, who boarded the train at Chirala station, started looting mobiles, cash and other valuables from the passengers and women travelling in the general compartment, particularly labourers. The gang of about 6 to 7 eunuchs attacked the women and other passengers, robbed their gold jewellry worth Rs 80,000 including Mangalsutra.

After committing the crime the eunuchs pulled the chain near Vijayawada and escaped under the cover of darkness. The incident took place around 3 am. When the passengers complained to Vijayawada Railway police, they said the case is not comes under their jurisdiction. Meanwhile, the railway passengers have demanded for night patrolling by the police where incidents of theft and robbery are taking place regularly.
