Telangana in tears with Jayashankar's demise

The man behind this phase of Telangana movement, the chief architect of Telangana ideologue Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar is no more. Fighting with throat cancer from a long time, he breathed his last today at 11:15 AM at his own residence in Hanamkonda. He was associated with separate Telangana movement from 1952 fighting on the unequal distribution of river water to Telangana which he assumed as the key cause behind raising of T-movement.

Jayashankar is an excellent academician who researched on diverse issues for backwardness of Telangana. He educated people like KCR, Harish Rao and many more intellectuals who are presently playing active role in separate State movement. He worked as Vice Chancellor and Registrar of Kakatiya University. 

Jayashankar is instrumental in formation of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Telangana Development Forum, working as Chairman of Centre for Telangana Studies, founder member of Telangana Aikya Vedika. He was the key player in taking forward the movement of ‘Idly Sambar Go Back’ in 1952.

Having known this news, Telangana people are burst up in tears running to Hanamkonda. Funeral will be commenced at Padmakshamma Gutta today at evening 4 PM.
