Hyderabad, Oct 2:The state government has dispatched four Helicopters –three for Kurnool and one for Mahabubnagar districts to take up rescue and relief operations in the flood affected areas.Following a request from the Chief Minister, K Rosaiah, the National Disaster Response Force from Arakonnam is arriving in Hyderabad. The force would be dispatched to Kurnool and Mahabubnagar districts with inflatable boats.He directed the district administration officials to make all arrangements to distribute food and water packets to the flood victims and evacuating the people from flood areas.Senior IAS officers have been sent to the affected districts to supervise the rescue and relief operations.
The government has deputed Adithyanath Das, Principal Secretary, Irrigation Department, to Mahabubnagar district, Rajeev Ranjan Mishra, Secretary, Irrigation department, to Kurnool and S K Joshi, Secretary, Irrigation department, to Krishna district to supervise the flood situation.
