Star marriages

After Genelia-ritesh Deshmukh, there are many stars lined up to tie the knot.  Kareena Kapoor and her long-term friend Saif Ali Khan, who was conferred the Nawab of Pataudi title recently, will be declaring their engagement.

Closer home, Ram Charan and Upasana wedlock will be on June 13. Reema Sen is also getting ready for the knot in March.

Like doctors, stars too have of late started to date and marry unlike earlier times. Krishna married Vijayanirmala in a path breaking social dareness in early 70s as both had to leave behind their wedlock.

Before that Ravi Kondala Rao and Radha Kumari were man and wife when they entered the Tiollywood. Nagarjuna left his wife (Naga Chaitanya’s) mother to marry Amala and Mahesh Babu settled with Namratha Shirodkar.

In between, there have been many live-in relations and break-ups.
