RIL donates Rs 11 crore for flood victims

Hyderabad,Oct 13:The management of Reliance Industries Limited headed by Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday donated Rs 11,11,00,000 to the victims affected by floods in Krishna and Tungabhadra basin.According to a press release issued by RIL here on Tuesday, the RIL Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Andhra Pradesh region handed over the cheque for Rs 11,11,00,000 to the Chief Minister, K Rosaiah in Hyderabad, towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Handing over the cheque to Chief Minister,they reiterated the company’s resolve to partner the State in alleviating the suffering of the people and helping in future relief and rehabilitation efforts.Given the scale of the disaster, companies need to extend a helping hand to the Andhra government as well as the agencies involved with relief efforts, they said.Mr. Mukhesh Ambani hoped the funds would be utilised to check epidemics and provide preventive vaccination to all, especially the children and the old people.
