Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Monday held a high level meeting with the officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The meeting was attended by Minister for Municipal Administration Mr Anam Ramnarayan Reddy. Briefing the media after the meeting, the minster said that the government has allotted Rs 50 crore for the repair of roads in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The roads which were badly damaged during the recent rains are causing havoc to the vehicular traffic. In order to improve the condition of the badly damaged roads , the repair works will be carried out speedily, Anam added.
The minister said that no parking space has been allotted for vehicles near the PV Highway. A specific area has been earmarked near Bapughat for the parking of lorries.Referring to the GHMC elections, the minster explained that the Chief Minister is yet to meet the State Election Commission. After holding consultations with the State Election Commission, the CM would finalise the dates for GHMC elections. Only then the Government will issue the notification for GHMC elections.Right now at the moment the Government is pre-occupied with flood relief work , the minister added.
