In a major setback to YSR Congress Party leader Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy, the Supreme court on Thursday, 9th May declined to grant him bail in the disproportionate assets case. The Apex Court is said to have felt the evidences might be manipulated if Jagan is granted bail. On the other hand, the Supre Court rejected the bail plea of Nimmagadda Prasad as well. Also, the Apex Court cancelled the bail of Vijaya Sai Reddy and ordered him to surrender before the court before 31st of this month. The court opined that financial crimes should be considered seriously. Meanwhile, the court asked the CBI to complete the investigation within four months in Nimmagadda's case. Hearing the news of rejection of Jagan's bail plea, the party's activists were disappointed.
